Position Requirements


  • Conduct dual flight instruction
  • Authorize solo instructional flights
  • Conduct pre and post-flight briefings
  • Recommend a trainee for a flight test
  • Conduct ground school instruction
  • Conduct all flights in accordance with the CAR’s and any FNTI SOP’s
  • Verify all documentation required by Transport Canada
  • Provide assistance and direction to students
  • Provide objective and constructive feedback to learners
  • Prepare progress reports
  • Record and certify entries in pilot training records and make available to the trainee
  • Maintain and authenticate all documentation required by Transport Canada
  • Refueling and hangaring of aircraft

FNTI is seeking a FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR – Class 1 or Class 2 Aeroplane and is responsible
for the delivery of Flight Training at all levels as qualified. The Flight Instructor – Class 1 or
Class 2 Aeroplane will work closely with the Chief Flight Instructor, other Flight Instructors,
students, and staff members within the department.

This is a Contract position to March 31, 2021
