Do you have cleaning experience? Are you looking for part-time employment? The County is looking to fill the position of part-time Custodian within our Recreation & Community Facilities Department.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Minimum Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team as required
- Proven communication and customer service skills
- Previous work-related experience
- Knowledge and training under the Occupational Health & Safety Act
- Ability to complete tasks involving climbing, pushing, pulling and lifting on a regular basis
- Proof of valid class “G” Driver’s License
- Availability to work flexible hours, inclusive of weekends
- Satisfactory Criminal Background Check
Position Requirements
Reporting to the Outdoor Facilities Supervisor, the Custodian will be responsible for:
- Cleaning and light maintenance of their designated Halls
- Collection and removal of garbage and recycling
- Removal of snow and ice from hall entrances
- Opening and closing of halls for functions, minor repairs and maintenance, and assisting other Custodians with project work
Type of Job: Part-Time,
Hourly Wage/Salary: $20.52 to $21.45 per hour as per Band 1 of CUPE Local 2275’s Collective Agreement, plus 10% in lieu of benefits and 4% in lieu of vacation
