We are a growing manufacturing company with Big customers. We machine and assemble components that are used in mission-critical applications like medical and defense industries. In the last two years we have doubled our sales, doubled our physical footprint, and doubled our shop staff with seasoned and next generation skills. We have outfitted our plant with the latest in CNC Swiss mill-turn production equipment and custom-built assembly stations to produce high-quality, high quantity components. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Degree or diploma in an engineering discipline, journeyman machinist, mechanical technician, or an equivalent combination of similar relevant education and experience
- 5+ years in production machining environment
- 2+ years in a leadership or management position
- Understanding of advanced machining processes and planning
- Knowledge and working experience with lean manufacturing practices
- Training in manufacturing, metalworking, machining, tool and die, drafting, metrology, or similar is an asset
- Experience with 2D and 3D CAD software is an asset
- Experience with manufacturing operations software is an asset
- Manufacturing experience in medical, aerospace or defense products
- Manufacturing experience in a machine shop is an asset

Position Requirements
POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for an individual that will rise to the title of process engineer, technical operations manager, or manufacturing specialist. This position will be challenging and rewarding for the person who strives for progress. This high-level employee will help drive the production portion of our company to meet the quality and production requirements of our customers.
JOB ACTIVITIES
- Provide ongoing technical support for CNC machining and assembly processes. Swiss CNC experience is an asset.
- Interpret process requirements including material, production and quality, documentation, and scheduling
- Interface with suppliers of raw material, tooling, plating, heat treating and other manufacturing processes to establish engineering requirements and production needs.
- Provide time studies, analyze raw material, identify tooling and overall process requirements for quoting purposes.
- Prepare quotations for new jobs, including material and processing costs, tooling, gauges and capital investment costs if required
- Maintain ongoing process control through quality troubleshooting and process improvement investigation.
- Regular review of all processes and operator instructions to ensure accuracy and conformance to actual procedures.
- Investigate and resolve technical process problems.
- Participate in productivity improvement initiatives.
- Evaluate and edit internal drawings and data prior to release to production; utilize internal control process to release engineering documents
- Participate in the design of new processes/products and the continuous improvement of existing processes
- Participate in customer meetings, audits and site visits
- Evaluate performance and analyze data
- Track production activities of the business
