Education/Training/Certifications
Qualifications and Experience:
- A completed Ontario Secondary School Diploma and current enrollment in or completion
of post-secondary education is required - Preference will be given to current students or graduates in related fields of study including Child and Youth Care, Recreation Leadership, Therapeutic Recreation, Social Service Worker, Social Work, Behavioural Science, and Teacher’s College
- Successful completion of a Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC) check including a Vulnerable Sector Check is required
- Current CPR and First Aid certification is required
- Prior experience working with children is required
- Access to own transportation is required to travel to and from camp locations and transport camp supplies
- High Five certification or equivalent is an asset. Applicants with similar international certifications/credentials are also encouraged to apply
- Length of contract: 8 weeks (Starting July 4, 2022, ending August 26, 2022)

Limestone is a non-profit, registered charitable organization devoted to supporting the needs and interests of girls and young women across four counties in the greater Kingston and Belleville, Ontario communities. Applicants under the Canada Summer Jobs program will work together with a Girls Inc. Program Coordinator and form the camp program delivery team for the 2022 day camp season. Successful applicants will be energetic, team-oriented leaders who enjoy working in large groups of children in grades four to eight.
Job Duties
- Assist in the coordination and delivery of summer day camp programming for school-aged girls, as part of the program delivery team
- Responsibilities will include program and supply purchase and preparation, day camp facilitation, working with participant families, and troubleshooting problems
- Camps will take place at multiple locations throughout K FL&A. All facilitators will be responsible for getting to and from the camp location every day, as well as getting camp supplies to and from

Hourly Wage/Salary: $16.00 per hour
Hours: 35 hours per week (Mon to Fri)
