Education/Qualifications

  • Two year Office Administration/Project Management/Supply Chain diploma or equivalent
  • This is an entry-level position and work experience would be an asset. New graduates welcome
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Fully vaccinated from Covid-19 to comply with our vaccination policy

Position Requirements

Project Management Assistant

As our new Project Management Assistant, you’ll participate in the establishment and execution of tasks, schedules, reporting, and meetings for large bulk material handling equipment projects, working on multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Support for and report to Project Managers on assigned project(s).  Approximately 75% of the time will be spent on one large project until its completion (this is long-term full time position)
  • Prepare and/or maintain project spreadsheets, reports and correspondence files and prepare and/or maintain monthly management reporting documents for the VP Projects using Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Word, Project)
  • Assist with maintaining schedules and tasks assigned by a Project Manager and VP Projects
  • Assist in project close out and maintain spreadsheet
  • Attend project meetings (internal and external) and take notes to prepare meeting summaries and action registers
  • Follow up on project actions to ensure they are completed on schedule
  • Working with Quality, Engineering, and QMS, assist with real time Lessons Learned reports for ongoing projects
  • Any other duties assigned by the Supervisor, VP Projects

Communication:

  • Work and interact with other team members.
  • Communicate effectively and accurately with suppliers, customers and design team members in both oral and written formats.
  • Demonstrate excellent writing skills for correspondence, and technical reports written by others.  Demonstrate competence with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and other software as required.
  • Adhere to EMS-Tech Inc.’s confidentiality and intellectual property agreements and policies.

Hourly Wage/Salary: Starting salary, between $40,000 and $50,000 per year commensurate with experience
