Are you a driver with record keeping experience? Do you enjoy working outdoors? The County is looking to fill our temporary positions of Winter Road Patrol for the winter season.

Reporting to the Roads Supervisor, this position’s primary duties will be to patrol the roads during the winter season, keep records, call in winter control response staff, and provide back-up for winter drivers as needed. These positions will be required for a minimum of 4 months to a maximum of 6 months during the winter season.

The following scheduled shifts are proposed:

SHIFT A

Saturday 7:00 am to 7:00 pm

Sunday   7:00 am to 7:00 pm

Monday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm

Tuesday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm

 SHIFT B

Saturday/Sunday 7:00 pm to 7:00 am

Monday/Tuesday 11:00 pm to 7:30am

Tuesday/Wednesday 11:00pm to 7:30 am

SHIFT C

Sunday/Monday 7:00 pm to 7:00am

Wednesday/Thursday 11:00 pm to 7:30 am

Thursday/Friday 11:00 pm to 7:30 am

The current hourly rate of pay for this position is $24.66 plus 10% in lieu of benefits and 4% in lieu of vacation as per Band 6 of CUPE Local 2275’s Collective Agreement.
