Restore Associates work in our ReStore retail operations performing a variety duties which include but are not limited to point-of-sale transactions, in person and telephone customer service, inventory management, stocking shelves, sales, maintenance, pricing and pickup/delivery tasks. ReStore Associates work primarily on the Retail sales floor but are cross trained to work in our warehouse and assist with pickups/drop-offs. This position may also entail doing deliveries and pick ups when regular driver is not available.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide customer assistance within the retail store
• Inventory stocking, displays, merchandising, cleaning, organizing
• Perform or assist with store, property, or building maintenance tasks
• Assist with deliveries of customer purchases
• Assist with pick-ups and drop-offs of donated items
• Assist in loading and unloading merchandise from customer vehicles
• Clean, repair, and test donated merchandise
• Assemble merchandise
• Assist in moving merchandise onto the sales floor

Skills:

• Ability to work within a team and independently
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers, other staff members and volunteers (both verbally and in writing)
• Uses initiative with positive attitude and has a willingness to learn
• Safety conscious

Working Conditions:

• Lifting to 50lbs with help
• Hardware/Retail/Warehouse environment
• CSA approved steel toe footwear required
• Work gloves and long pants required
• Occasional use of mobile ladder stand

We are looking for professional retail / warehousing staff to help us take our Belleville ReStore to the next level and help us chart a path for the future growth of our organization. Revenues from our ReStore help fund our organization’s charitable work in the communities we serve; with the current housing crisis throughout Hastings and Prince Edward Counties, the need for our efforts has never been greater.

We believe in family/work balance and offer a retail environment without the crazy retail hours. We are closed on all Stat Holidays. The latest we are open is 6 PM. And, we are currently closed on Sundays.
