Your Skills and Competencies
- College diploma or university degree in Finance, Accounting, Operations Management, APICS designation or equivalent along with 1-2 years of food processing / manufacturing experience.
- Strong analytical and computer skills (particularly with Excel), with the ability to manage and utilize data from a number of database sources.
- Strong attention to detail and enthusiasm toward learning.
- Possess strong oral and written communication skills and an ability to communicate technical information in a way that facilitates understanding.
- Be committed to working in a team environment, with strong time management, conflict resolution and collaboration skills.
- Self-directed, self-motivated and demonstrated experience providing ideas and solutions to further business understanding
- Must be tenacious, with the emotional intelligence to know when to push harder and when to look for alternative approaches

Position Requirements
General Responsibilities
You are responsible for delivering value-added yield analysis, as well as defining and reporting meaningful financial and operational metrics that lead to insightful business decision-making
This position provides key information on production performance and its impact on accurate financial reporting within the facility. The position will also provide an excellent opportunity to add value by improving process and providing visibility. The incumbent will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Specific Responsibilities
- Responsible for the daily and weekly monitoring, analyses, and reporting on yield performance. Key is providing accurate and timely information for decision making by Production and management.
- Work with the Supply Chain Specialist and Production management to gain an in-depth understanding of yield specifications and requirements. Based on these specifications, provides analysis and recommendations regarding appropriate action to explain deviations. Identifies ways to improve yield performance.
- Identifies areas to improve yield performance and processes, develops and implement solutions.
- Coordinates and participates in yield testing and analysis. Maintains master data records on production standards, specifications, and performance.
- Liaise with managers, production supervisors, and shipping and receiving staff to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and best practices
- Works with production management to achieve company objectives in terms of product quality, efficiency targets, and customer service
- Performs ad hoc analysis and strategic projects
- Additional duties as assigned.
Working Conditions
Working conditions include:
- Normal office environment for most of each day.
- Working in a cold working environment for parts of each day
- Exposure to job situations where there is a possibility of injury – on a daily basis for parts of each day
- Work involves minor physical strain/walking/standing for parts of the day on a daily basis
