Required Education
- Three-year Community College Diploma or Three-Year Bachelor Degree, or equivalent in communications preferred or in business administration preferred or in computing preferred.
Required Experience
- More than 2 years and up to and including 3 years of experience
- Experience with providing administrative support considered an asset (e.g., document editing, proofing, formatting and production, data entry, scheduling/coordinating meetings and/or travel arrangements, receiving/relaying messages, etc.)
- Experience working at a post-secondary education institution considered an asset
- Experience in client and/or customer experience functions considered an asset
- Experience planning, coordinating and/or managing events or promotions considered an asset
- Experience working in a comparable client-focused environment considered an asset
- Experience advising students considered an asset
- Experience working with diverse populations/equity deserving groups considered an asset
Consideration may be given to an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Position Requirements
A Brief Overview
The Office of the University Registrar supports the academic mission of the university by providing comprehensive enrolment management services to members of the Queen’s community, including applicants and students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
This position produces and publishes complex exam schedules. This position coordinates venue set-up and details with campus security, facilities, and safety teams for instructor-managed exams. This position receives and processes accommodation requests and liaises with students, instructors, and campus partners regarding accommodation plans. This position acts as a first point of contact for complications in the exam process including student in distress, accommodations, and exam disruption. This position also directs, allocates, and supervises the work of other staff.
What you will do
- Produces and publishes complex exam schedules
- Coordinates venue set-up and details with campus security, facilities, and safety teams for instructor-managed exams
- Receives and processes accommodation requests and liaises with students, instructors, and campus partners regarding accommodation plans
- Develops, revises, and maintains procedural and policy documents regarding exam administration and workflow
- Acts as a first point of contact for complications in the exam process including student in distress, accommodations, and exam disruption
- Directs, allocates, and supervises the work of other staff
- Other duties as required in support of the department and/or unit

- Commitment to principles of equity, diversity, accessibility, inclusion, Indigenization and human rights for equity deserving groups
- Assess the suitability of job candidates and recommend the most appropriate person for hire
- Monitor and assess output and the quality of work from team members and recommend need for formal training or development plans to management and identify possible performance and/or disciplinary issues.
