  • More than 3 years and up to and including 5 years of experience.

Required Licenses and Certifications

    • Satisfactory Criminal Records Check required.
  • Vulnerable Sector Screening required.

Consideration may be given to an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Position Requirements

A Brief Overview
The Peer Health Outreach Coordinator manages a large team of student staff and volunteers within Health Promotions in order to develop, deliver, and evaluate a variety of programs and services for students. The role will provide expert guidance to faculty, staff, students, and external partners with the goal of promoting the health and wellness of Queen’s students.

This position establishes priorities and schedules students, acts as a mentor, and provides ongoing feedback to students. This position builds partnerships and collaborates with departments and with community partners to implement academic resources and initiatives that support student success. This position plans, develops, and delivers programs, training, services, and events that enrich student life, enhance the student experience, and facilitate student success. This position also assists in developing, implementing, and evaluating academic success programs.

    • Creates lesson plans and support material for transition programs and camps.
    • Provide guidance to staff with developing and setting up course content, including audio, video, and graphic materials.
    • Creates promotional and educational materials.
    • Coordinates and uploads social messaging and website content.
  • Other duties as required in support of the department and/or unit.
