Qualifications:
• Post-secondary education, diploma or degree, in a relevant field
• Competency with SQL to generate queries within Student Information System
• Minimum one year of experience working within a Learning Management Systems
(Brightspace/D2L preferred)
• Minimum one year of experience working within a Student Information System
• Demonstrated competence in Adobe Acrobat and MS Office (particularly Word and
Excel) and video conferencing platforms such as Zoom, Teams and Google Meet
• Excellent interpersonal and written English communication skills
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Creative and innovative thinker
• High attention to detail
• High demand for tact, diplomacy, and professionalism to build relationships with
colleague

Position Requirements
Since establishment in 1985, over 4000 students have graduated successfully from FNTI with certificates, diplomas and degrees, granted in partnership with Ontario’s Colleges and
Universities. An Indigenous post-secondary institution, FNTI offers programs targeted at Indigenous learners across a wide range of post-secondary disciplines including aviation,
health, business, and public administration. FNTI delivers programming locally through its main campus in Tyendinaga on Ontario’s beautiful Bay of Quinte, as well as in numerous community
locations throughout Ontario.

community-driven approach coupled with our intense program delivery method allow our Indigenous learners to maintain connections to family and community while they study and
prepare for their future careers.
The eLearning Systems Administrator is responsible for bridging the Brightspace and Orbund system. The Systems Administrator is responsible for the creation and maintenance of the
Learning Object Repository, as well as assisting in Brightspace access issues.
Key Responsibilities:
• Creating the Organizational Unit structure for each semester;
• Creating and Maintaining a Learning Object Repository;
• Assisting in Brightspace access/login issues;
• Creating the class structure in SIS each semester;
• Connecting Orbund classes to Brightspace classes;
• Generating SQL-based reports for data access requests;
• Manage course creating in Brightspace environment by aligning Brightspace course
offerings with master academic schedule
• Manage Brightspace learning objective and/or competency structures
• Create incoming student accounts/emails in Brightspace/Orbund SIS/Outlook
• Manage student access and login issues for Brightspace/Orbund SIS/Outlook
• Manage data flow between Brightspace and Orbund and SIS,
• Generate Orbund reports using SQL, JSON knowledge to support Manager of Data and
Institutional Analysis
• Manage course/micro-credential offering list and apply updates to FNTI’s course
shopping cart, troubleshooting any issues with account creation, Brightspace access,
payment processing, etc
• Perform additional related duties to support virtual learning initiatives at FNTI as needed
• Work collaboratively with eLearning Trainer/Developer to create/maintain Brightspace
LMS for current and future programming
