- Between the ages of 15 and 30 as required by the Canada Summer Jobs program

- Certified in CPR and First Aid
- Start dates and end dates may vary
- Each of these positions have potential for continued employment after summer program
Position Requirements
Position #1 – Community Service Worker
- Â Provide support to explore and promote a variety of communication methods and
interaction (utilizing technology verbal, pictures, gestures and augmentative) to promote
socially valued roles – support all ages - Support individuals with disabilities to engage in virtual and in person social, recreation,
volunteer opportunities, and employment opportunities - Take a leadership role assisting with individual skill development – daily living skills
- Work with the agency teams and partners in the community promoting partnerships
Position # 2 – Administrative Assistant
- Answer telephone, electronic inquiries and relay messages
- Compile data, statistics and other information to support research activities
- Provide assistance to support staff and leadership team
- Schedule and confirm appointments and meetings
- Assist departments with filing, organizing, scanning and photocopying
- Open and distribute incoming regular and electronic mail
- Data entry, brochure creation, publications, run reports
Position # 3 – Business Development Officer
- Conduct research on a local level to assess development potential of a social enterprise
- Conduct surveys and analyze data on the buying habits and preferences of retail
consumers - Design market research questionnaires
- Assess business opportunities and develop strategies to attract venture capital
- Develop a Proposal and provide advice on procedures and requirements for government
approvals - Prepare reports – Plans to present to Board of Directors
- Plan and develop E-commerce strategies
- Provide planning and starting of the new social enterprise
- Participation in the setup, hiring and initial operation of the enterprise
Type of Job: Full Time, Part-Time, Summer Position,
Hourly Wage/Salary: $17.50 per hour
Hours: Minimum of 30 hours per week
