Education/Training/Certifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Enrolment in an Early Childhood Educator program an asset (RECE would be preferred).
- Diploma or degree in Child and Youth Care or Recreation and Leisure Services an asset.
- One to two years of child care related work experience an asset.
- Good working knowledge of the Child Care Early Years Act 2014 (CCEYA).
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check dated within 6 months of application.
- Up-to-date immunization.
- Up-to-date First Aid/CPR-C Certification an asset but not required.
- Must be reliable, flexible, and effectively work in a team environment.
Position Requirements
Position Summary
The HUB Child & Family Centre (The HUB) has served the children and families of Prince Edward County since 1989. We are dedicated to providing quality licensed child care and early learning. We do this through a number of programs and services that focus on children infant to 13 years old and their families.
The Child Care Assistant will report to the Manager of The HUB Child Care Centre Picton assisting in the safe and efficient operation of the program in a manner consistent with the philosophy, goals and mission of The HUB Child & Family Centre.
