Education/Training/Certifications

  • Post-Secondary education in Social Science, Nonprofit Leadership, Project Management, Education, or related program
  • Minimum 2-year(s) experience in leading promotion, outreach or project management for charity, non-profit or expressive arts, community arts or community programming
  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory and nonprofit leadership experience
  • Post-Secondary education in Social Science, Nonprofit Leadership, Education, or related program
  • Experience with Expressive art therapy programs is an asset
  • Experience working and leading virtual teams and projects
  • Commitment to working in a socially inclusive environment, responding with sensitivity and personal awareness to the diverse needs of members including visible and non-visible dimensions of diversity
  • Google Workspace, and Zoom proficient
  • Experience with registration software is an asset
  • Valid Standard First Aid and CPR-C
  • Valid G-Class driver’s license and reliable access to a vehicle
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized
  • Excellent Leadership abilities

Position Requirements

  • Oversee the development and implementation of Virtual Expressive Arts Community Programming from inception to completion including: program framework, program plans, promotion and outreach plans, registration, material purchasing and pick up, staffing resources on day of, research and follow up
  • Assist with set up of registration for Community Programming, workshops and events
  • Assist with the intake process for adult Therapy programs
  • Liaison and respond to inquiries with participants and their families, the community at large, program facilitators, and digital media team, resolving any issues with the support of the E.D.
  • Ensure consistency in Art With A Heart policies and processes
  • Update and co-facilitate onboarding and training new staff
  • Review and update virtual forum for staff/team to meet and work efficiently
  • Provide regular updates and feedback to the E.D. and provide regular feedback/performance evaluations to staff members/volunteers
  • Plan, implement and deliver training including COVID-19 measures
  • Ensure adherence to policies and procedures working closely with other team
  • Coordinate in-studio schedules, art kit pick up and other in person requirements while following COVID-19 measures
  • Other administrative duties as required

Supervision:

  • Supervise the Marketing and Media Team (approximately 4 team members)
  • Assist the E.D. in supervising other team members.
  • Empower children and youth to develop skills, form friendships, practice social skills, participant in mindfulness, mental wellness activities and build self-esteem in an online environment
  • Empower adult participants to develop technical and art skills, build connections, practice social skills, participant in mindfulness, mental wellness activities, and build self-esteem in an online environment
  • Accountable for day to day in studio programming operations

Program Facilitation Duties:

  • Oversee the needs of in person program participants/families
  • Oversight planning material delivery or curbside pick-up for local participants of online programming
  • Oversight planning materials for in person programming
  • Participation in dress rehearsal to practice online facilitation prior to going live
  • Participate as required in virtual programming moderation
  • Participate as required in in person programming supervision

Type of Job: Full Time, Temporary,

Hourly Wage/Salary: $17.00 per hour

Hours: 30 hours per week
