Community Worker after hours program (contract)

Education/Training/Certifications
- Current first aid and CPR certification
- CPI
- Criminal Records Check and vulnerable persons screening developmental and physical disabilities
Position Requirements
To provide support to individuals in the areas of leisure, recreation and social
activities.
- Â Reconciliation of monies collected during the shift
- Â Ensure completion of daily reports, including incident reports
- Â Responsible for opening and closing building, including arming/disarming of alarm
- Â Ongoing and open communication with all staff, board members and placement students to ensure
continuity and effective team building - Create and maintain a supportive leisure/recreation environment for all participants
- Prepare reports for and attend participant conference as requested
- Record pertinent data as to participant performance and behaviours
- Train, monitor and evaluate placement students and volunteers in the program.
- Offer assistance to participants as needed regarding mobility, toileting, break and mealtime needs
- Â Administer basic first aid and monitor seizures
- Meal preparation and housekeeping
- All other responsibilities as outlined by the Administrator
This is a contract position. Contract period: Sept 6/22 to June 23/23
Two week unpaid closure at Christmas and one week at March Break.
