Education/Training/Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or College diploma and a minimum of 3-5 years in a fundraising, marketing, or communications position.
  • The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate an understanding and commitment to CDC Quinte’s mission and vision. Prior non-profit experience is desirable.
  • The Fund Developer will exhibit personal and professional characteristics that include, but are not limited to, superior verbal and written communication, strong familiarity with Hastings & Prince Edward Counties, fundraising knowledge and skills, ability to work effectively with limited assistance.
  • The position requires strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, a valid driver’s license, access to a vehicle and a successful police check.

Position Requirements

  • This is a 12-month, 35 hour per week contract position, with the possibility of renewal if funding permits.
  • The Fund Developer will be responsible for creating and implementing a fund development plan with targeted financial goals to support the fiscal year operating budget with a special emphasis on growing major donors and cultivating new support. This will include creating a comprehensive Resource Funding Development Plan with identified timelines and strategies.
  • Key activities will include but not limited to: facilitating a strategic fund development plan with board and staff; assessing current fundraising opportunities, programs, practices and procedures; broadening fundraising base by developing new approaches and streams of funding, and developing strategies for a diverse and sustainable short term/long term funding base.
  • This is a grant-funded position which provides an exciting opportunity to help grow CDC Quinte’s mission and vision.
