Reporting to the Administrator and participating as a member of the team to provide support to
individuals who have a developmental disability to promote independence and inclusion in the
community. Coordinating, supervising and implementing activities to increase an individuals’
levels of independence, sense of belonging and self-esteem. To provide meaningful experiences
in relation to participant’s goals and COED’s mission, vision and goals.
• Assist in the interviewing and selection process of applicants into the program
• Supporting individuals to develop and maintain relationships within the family and
community
• Responsible for modeling and promoting a healthy lifestyle and maintaining a safe
environment
• Lesson planning geared to individual abilities and goals
• Aid participants in goal setting and placement in the program. Communication with
parents, caregivers, on-site support, DSW and placement participants.
• Train, monitor and evaluate placement participants and volunteers in the program.
• Participating in the development and implementation of person directed plans and
outcome measurement
• Work in conjunction with the other Instructor(s) in planning yearly calendar.
• Assisting with administering basic first aid, monitor seizures when required
• Attendance and recording of pertinent data, behaviors, seizures, medical, etc.
• Developing and applying crisis intervention strategies
• Setup, organize and participate in fund raising events to incorporate the participants
wherever possible.
• Participate in ongoing fundraising events
• All other responsibilities as outlined by the Administrator.

Contract: September 7, 2022 to March 31, 2023
