Education/Training/Certifications
- Grade 12 secondary school diploma
- Possess and maintain a valid Class ‘D’ driver’s license with ‘Z’ endorsement with a clean driver’s abstract
- Possess or agree to obtain training in WHMIS, First Aid, Chainsaw Safety, and Occupational Health & Safety
- A minimum of 2 years relative road maintenance or road construction experience would be an asset
- Knowledge of snow removal and snow removal procedures an asset
- Ability to lift 50 lbs independently
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
- Mechanically inclined with ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical and electrical defects
- Understanding of applicable health and safety regulations and standard practices
Position Requirements
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Winter maintenance operations
- Parks maintenance
- Assisting with excavations for water & sewer
- Pothole repair
- Operating and maintaining various equipment
Type of Job: Full Time,
Hourly Wage/Salary: Competitive salary (commensurate with qualifications) and a comprehensive benefits package
Hours: 40 hours per week and will require some night and weekend shifts
