Education/Training/Certifications
- High school diploma and/or work experience including manual dexterity
- Effective communication skills, verbal and listening are required to interact with fellow team members and supervisory staff
- Possess basic numeracy and reading comprehension skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, speed and accuracy required, physically demanding, good manual dexterity, team-building skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently when required.
- There is no exposure to outside weather conditions. The nature of physical effort leading to muscle strain while performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, bend, lift a maximum weight of 40lbs, pulling, noise, static shocks, and exposure to some form of toxic chemicals
Position Requirements
Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible to work as part of a team in an efficient manner that will meet and exceed customer expectations; to produce products to quality standards as described in the quality and good manufacturing practices procedures
- Responsible to adhere with all company rules and safe practices as described in the employee policy and procedures manual
- Perform routine tasks and rotate through production tasks on a set schedule
- Follow work schedules and instructions as outlined by the Supervisor, Line Leader, or Quality Float
- Assist in tracking production levels as described. Suggest improvements to operations
- Actively participate in team meetings and or other committees as available
- Assist in managing scrap levels by working following the relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Perform tasks following the SOPs
Quality Management
- Knowledgeable on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Report quality issues immediately upon detection
- Provide input to resolve quality issues
- Assist to track quality issues following the task responsibilities
- Inspect and monitor products as trained to meet quality standards
Risk Management
- Responsible for following provincial and company health and safety regulations; qualify and maintain safety certifications if required
- Assist in work place inspections when requested
- Follow plant safe practices as instructed. Identify safety issues to the Supervisor
- Work in a safe manner at all times
Type of Job: Full Time,
Hourly Wage/Salary: To be discussed
Hours: Dayshift is 7:00am-3:30pm and afternoons is 3:30pm-Midnight
