Education/Training/Certifications
- Experience preferred however training is available on the job
- License and vehicle preferred but not necessary to perform the job (must be able to report for work at headquarters at the designated time each morning)
- Physically fit and able to lift 50 lbs
- Able to work in a team environment
- Slip proof safety boots required
- Two (2) previous employer references and a Criminal Record Check must be provided upon offer of employment
- Experience driving a 26-28′ straight truck considered an asset
Position Requirements
A local family owned moving business, serving the Greater Kingston, Belleville, Trenton, Quinte, Prince Edward County, Hastings, and Northumberland regions, taking pride on making the moving experience as easy as possible, while providing the most reliable, trustworthy, transparent, affordable and honest moving services, is looking to hire immediately.
Job Duties:Â Â
- Assist with the loading and unloading of household and commercial goods
- Competently performs assigned pack/unpack and load/unload duties with supervision
- Assist with loading/unloading of appliances and fine furniture
- Assist with packing/unpacking of breakable items
- Is compliant with company Policies & Procedures and Van Line policies
- Maintain a clean and safe work area at job site, in trucks, and at Headquarters
- Assist with truck/trailer upkeep including folding of moving blankets, breaking down of packaging materials
Type of Job: Full Time,
Hourly Wage/Salary: $17 - $20 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours: Mon to Friday and scheduled weekends, up to 44 hours per week and up to 14 hour days
