Our Belleville facility is looking for full-time, permanent employees to join our team who are #Sofinaproud. At Sofina’s Belleville plant, we produce quality pork products for the Canadian market. We currently have an opening for the position of Packaging Supervisor.
- Completion of Post-Secondary School education is an asset, strong computer skills
- Food Production experience is an asset
- Supervisory experience is a must
- Excellent organization and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
- Knowledge and compliance with CFIA regulations
- Excellent communication and motivational skills
- Ability to apply best practices and seek out opportunities to improve processes
- Strong adherence to meeting productivity, quality, and safety requirements
- Ability to deal with conflict
- Desire to continually improve plant culture
Position Requirements
- Ensure compliance with all safety requirements
- Ensure quality compliance with all HACCP procedures and ensure that all associates are trained to meet our quality standards
- Supervises associates and manages HR issues such as vacation scheduling, timekeeping, training, and department issues
- Ensures there is adequate staffing based on department volume, makes staffing decisions to cover absences and skill requirements
- Ensures all associates are properly trained in the operation of equipment
- Develops associates, providing training, feedback, and timely appraisals
- Continuously looks for ways to improve manufacturing processes and efficiencies
- Completion of production boards, reports on performance at DDS
- Participate in Food Safety Meetings
- Responsible for all day-to-day activities in the department
