Since being established in 1970 Bayside Trailblazers Motorcycle club has grown into an off-road riding/racing facility for dirt bikes /atv’s/side by sides and 4 wheelers. The facility is located at 7002 old Highway #2 just east of Shannonville and includes a flat track, MX track, and multiple-kilometer riding trails. The organization was formed to provide a venue for family-oriented amateur racing and riding for all ages of off-road motorsports. This nonprofit club is owned and operated by its members and volunteers.
To be eligible candidate must be 18 to 30 yrs of age (as per Summer Jobs program )
- Must be able to operate equipment
- Valid drivers license
- Able to work days, evenings and most weekends
- Expected Employment date: June 2022 – Sept 2022
Position Requirements
Park Coordinator duties and responsibilities
- Responsibilities for the day to day operation of BTB Trailblazers Park
- Greeting the general public and members in a professional respectful manner
- Ability to anticipate public and members’ needs, resolve complaints and prevent incidents in keeping with park guidelines as well as Government regulation in regards to distending
- Ability to deliver direction to the public and membership with firm leadership
- Come prepared for variable weather conditions and outdoor work environment
- Encourage members and the public to improve the park for others
- Opening and closing the gates each day which includes collecting registration fees and Verifying Insurance waiver compliance
- Operating equipment for grooming and watering the facilities tracks to maintain safe conditions for users including grass cutting, tree trimming, rock removal, etc.
- Assist in the development and future planning of park facilities including the construction of the office facility and off-grid power system
- Assist Club Administrator position with their duties
- Communicate with directors regularly to plan events and review work to be completed
Type of Job: Summer Position,
Hourly Wage/Salary: Minimum wage
Hours: Mostly weekend, days, evening (June 2022 – Sept 2022)
