Education/Training/Certifications
- Community/Business College Diploma in a related field and two years’ experience in payroll and general ledger entry is required.
- Familiarity in a non-profit environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP accounting software and Quadrant Workforce payroll software is considered an asset.
- A valid driver’s license and a vehicle are required.

Youth Habilitation Quinte Inc.’s Accounting Department requires a Payroll/Accounting Clerk to provide services from our Belleville location commencing April 24, 2023. This is a full-time permanent position.

Youth Habilitation Quinte Inc. (Youthab) supports, connects and empowers individuals to obtain and maintain affordable housing, good mental health and employment, facilitating their transition to independence.
As a Payroll/Accounting Clerk you are part of our Administrative team and are responsible for the Agency’s payroll.
Your primary responsibilities include maintaining the payroll function within the accounting department. This includes calculating and remitting employee withholdings/source deductions, maintaining accurate and complete financial records relating to payroll, referencing and interpreting the various regulations affecting payroll matters, maintaining administrative filing system, tracking and maintaining benefits/pension eligibility as well as benefits/pension administration adhering to both agency policy and service provider regulations.
You will possess knowledge of payroll accounting procedures and administrative processes, demonstrate excellent time management skills, be proficient with and have the ability to utilize spreadsheets with exceptional attention to detail using Microsoft Excel, as well as have knowledge and proficiency with all other Microsoft suite of products.
