The Quinte Free Skills Training Employment Program helps build both your soft skills and hard skills by offering online education for job seekers while supporting companies that can provide employment.

Employment opportunities in the fields Hospitality, Transportation, Accounting and Finance.

This includes 4 weeks of online soft skills training and hard skills training as required. This program is designed to improve your communication, team work and other essential skills, at NO COST to you! Upon the successful completion of the sector specific training, participants will obtain a certificate.

Potential Employment Opportunities in each field:

Accounting/Finance: Bookkeeper, Jr. Accountant, CSR Banking & Financial Institutions, Insurance Agent (salaried), Payroll, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Clerk, Lending Agent, Procurement, Property Tax Clerk.

Hospitality: Front Desk attendant (Hotel, Motel, Resort, B&B), Winery Host (Hostess), Tour Guide, Railway Station Attendant, Casino Operations, Room Attendant, Concierge, Spa & Wellness, Wedding Coordinator, Event Planner.

Transportation: Long-Haul Truck Driver (AZ Training available), Short Haul/Local Driver (D” License Driver training), Tow Truck Driver, Food Delivery Driver, Forklift Operator, Ferry Operator, Heavy Equipment Operator, Transportation Scheduler, Dispatcher, Bus Driver/Coach Driver, Small Water Vessel Operations.
