Education/Training/Certifications

  • The successful candidate will be able to work independently and with minimal supervision while being part of a team environment
  • Previous experience, working in customer service, delivery service, or work within a warehouse environment /setting will be an asset
  • Provide and maintain a clean driver’s abstract
  • Knowledge of CVOR legislation and rule adherence will be an asset
  • Provide and maintain a security clearance
  • Able to regularly lift packages or furniture items of 50 pounds
  • Good written and communication skills in English
  • Interpersonal communication skills – working with the public
  • Adhere to Society of Saint Vincent de Paul’s values/mission within your work duties and especially with the public

Position Requirements

  • Maintain basic warehouse functions and ‘customer services’ at our donation and receiving door
  • Supporting staff with product delivery, and engaging with the public on a regular basis
  • Ensure the security and safety of the warehouse working environment
  • Ensure safe intake procedures and the receipt of community donations
  • Perform scheduled vehicle checks and address or report maintenance issues
  • Perform scheduled and random facility security rounds is required
  • Maintain appropriate travel and facility log books
  • Monitor access to the Thrift Store when working in the receiving warehouse
  • Responsible for evacuating parts of the building during a fire
  • Log and/or deal with consumer concerns or conflicts. Prepare Incident Report if required
  • Perform other position related duties as required by the manager

Hourly Wage/Salary: $14.25 TO $15.00 per hour
