Education/Training/Certifications
- The successful candidate will be able to work independently and with minimal supervision while being part of a team environment
- Previous experience, working in customer service, delivery service, or work within a warehouse environment /setting will be an asset
- Provide and maintain a clean driver’s abstract
- Knowledge of CVOR legislation and rule adherence will be an asset
- Provide and maintain a security clearance
- Able to regularly lift packages or furniture items of 50 pounds
- Good written and communication skills in English
- Interpersonal communication skills – working with the public
- Adhere to Society of Saint Vincent de Paul’s values/mission within your work duties and especially with the public
Position Requirements
- Maintain basic warehouse functions and ‘customer services’ at our donation and receiving door
- Supporting staff with product delivery, and engaging with the public on a regular basis
- Ensure the security and safety of the warehouse working environment
- Ensure safe intake procedures and the receipt of community donations
- Perform scheduled vehicle checks and address or report maintenance issues
- Perform scheduled and random facility security rounds is required
- Maintain appropriate travel and facility log books
- Monitor access to the Thrift Store when working in the receiving warehouse
- Responsible for evacuating parts of the building during a fire
- Log and/or deal with consumer concerns or conflicts. Prepare Incident Report if required
- Perform other position related duties as required by the manager

Hourly Wage/Salary: $14.25 TO $15.00 per hour
