Education/Training/Certifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Successful completion of Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent. Consideration may be given to a combination of education and related experience
  • Basic Refrigeration certification is a considered an asset
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Residents and those utilizing Recreation and Community Facilities
  • Able to complete day, evening and weekend shifts, and work at various locations
  • Valid Class ‘G’ Driver’s Licence in good standing
  • Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Screening Check

Position Requirements

Do you thrive working in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for customer service? Do you enjoy assisting with events? The County is looking to fill the temporary part-time position of Recreation Attendant.

Reporting to the Supervisor of Recreation and Community Facilities, the Recreation Attendant

  • Ensures our community needs are met by maintaining departmental assets including: electrical, janitorial, structural, ice maintenance, grass cutting and park maintenance of the community centre properties, parks with playgrounds, ball diamonds, splash pad and courts
  • Supports with completing facility booking set-ups, tear-downs and monitoring of events

Type of Job: Part-Time, Temporary,

Hourly Wage/Salary: $23.99 to $25.10 per hour, plus 10% in lieu of benefits and 4% in lieu of vacation as per Band 5 of CUPE Local 2275’s Collective Agreement

Hours: Part time
