Education/Training/Certifications

Qualifications and Skill Requirements: 

  • Minimum 1-3 years experience in all types of arboricultural work including; tree climbing, bucket operations, pruning, removal, cabling, bracing, and stumping
  • High school or equivalent (Required)
  • College training is an asset
  • Experienced and knowledgeable of approved safety procedures when working at heights and near energized conductors
  • Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner
  • Working at Heights
  • Valid G Driver’s License and safe driving record (Required)
  • DZ License is an asset

Position Requirements

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform all duties in accordance with Arborist Safe Work Practices
  • Perform required tree work by climbing, aerial lift, or by ground level.
  • Remove brush, diseased trees and branches
  • Proper pruning of trees and shrubs
  • Knowledge in production tree removal, tree pruning and rigging
  • Assist in utility line clearance operations

Work Conditions: 

  • Remote locations as well as urban city environment, outdoor field environment
  • Daily travel from site to site
  • Walking/hiking on various surfaces including flat, dry, wet, slippery, uneven, rough, steep terrain, hills and slopes
  • Exposure to noise, dust, grease, and all types of weather and temperature conditions

Type of Job: Permanent Full-Time,

Hourly Wage/Salary: Competitive and based on experience

Hours: Monday to Friday 7:00-5:00 p.m. (with exceptions)
