Education/Training/Certifications
Qualifications and Skill Requirements:Â
- Minimum 1-3 years experience in all types of arboricultural work including; tree climbing, bucket operations, pruning, removal, cabling, bracing, and stumping
- High school or equivalent (Required)
- College training is an asset
- Experienced and knowledgeable of approved safety procedures when working at heights and near energized conductors
- Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner
- Working at Heights
- Valid G Driver’s License and safe driving record (Required)
- DZ License is an asset
Position Requirements
Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform all duties in accordance with Arborist Safe Work Practices
- Perform required tree work by climbing, aerial lift, or by ground level.
- Remove brush, diseased trees and branches
- Proper pruning of trees and shrubs
- Knowledge in production tree removal, tree pruning and rigging
- Assist in utility line clearance operations
Work Conditions:Â
- Remote locations as well as urban city environment, outdoor field environment
- Daily travel from site to site
- Walking/hiking on various surfaces including flat, dry, wet, slippery, uneven, rough, steep terrain, hills and slopes
- Exposure to noise, dust, grease, and all types of weather and temperature conditions
Type of Job: Permanent Full-Time,
Hourly Wage/Salary: Competitive and based on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday 7:00-5:00 p.m. (with exceptions)
