Education/Training/Certifications
Qualifications:
- Prior warehouse, retail or customer service experience is a definite asset
- Minimum 18 years old
- Must possess a valid Ontario Driver’s License with minimum 3 yrs driving experience and clean driver’s abstract over the last 3 years. D license preferred along with cube truck and/or those with experience driving straight truck.
- Possession of a valid Forklift Operator license or willingness and ability to become certified
Position Requirements
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide positive, professional interactions with customers – in person and on the phone at all times
- Maintain a high standard for cleanliness, neatness, functionality and overall presentation of the facility
- Ensure product is displayed and merchandised for optimum exposure and salability
- Ensure displays updated regularly and kept current
- Generate sales and identify and capitalize on upselling opportunities
- Process daily point-of-sale (cash register or POS) transactions, including cash and credit card
- Implement policies and procedures as specified by the General Manager, Retail Operations or delegate
- Perform or assist with store, property, or building maintenance tasks
- Assist with deliveries of customer purchases
- Assist with pick-ups and drop-offs of donated items
- Assist in loading and unloading merchandise from customer vehicles
- Clean, repair, and test donated merchandise
- Assemble merchandise
- Assist in moving merchandise onto the sales floor
- Undertake other related duties as identified by the General Manager, Retail Operations or delegate

Position Summary:
The Warehouse Associate is a front line and public face of the Habitat for Humanity ReStore. You project professionalism and welcome to customers and the community – both in person and by phone. Your contribution to the customer experience begins with the receipt of donations and continues through testing, processing and pricing of goods to merchandising and sales. Your day will be a continuous bustle of physical activity marked by frequent interruptions and shifting priorities all aimed at appreciating our donors, satisfying our customers and allowing the Habitat for Humanity ReStore (ReStore) to be a major contributor to Habitat for Humanity’s mission to provide affordable homeownership for hard-working families.
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
COVID-19 considerations:
Sanitizing of common touch areas on a regular basis. Compliance with Public Health directives.
