Responsibilities and Duties

• Manage the inventory of household goods as well as general freight

• Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments of household goods and freight

• Ensures shipping documents are signed and completed for appropriate staff to process

• Proper security and protection of all goods received into warehouse (pad wrap, labelling for identification, consolidation, etc)

• Organize household shipments for storage in warehouses

• Ensures access to the warehouse is controlled at all times

• May direct others with incoming and outgoing shipments

• Operate forklift and power jacks

• Inspect and perform maintenance of forklifts and power jacks

• Perform housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and safe work area.

• Ensure adherence to Company Policies and Procedures

• Responsible for snow removal on walkways and receiving areas

• Move trailers and scale trucks when necessary.

• Load and unload trucks at residence when required.

• Deliver general freight on occasion

• Ensure trucks/trailers are up to date on Safety inspection dates

• Inspect fire extinguishers monthly
