The ideal candidate will have
- A passionate commitment to arts education
- Proven experience as a business manager with a thorough understanding of budgeting, financial management
- Skills in fundraising, revenue generation and writing grants
- Possess excellent communication skills and demonstrated leadership qualities
- Post-secondary education in arts management, specific management experience in the operation of a small not for-profit organizations and experience associated in the performing arts will be highly desirable
Position Requirements
- Sharing management responsibilities with Artistic Director, the General Manager has specific responsibility for the administration of QBSC that includes budgeting, revenue generation, grants, fundraising, human resources, finances, facilities, contracting, special events, marketing, rentals, health and safety and board administration.
- The General Manager reports directly to the Board of Directors
Type of Job: Permanent Full-Time,
Hourly Wage/Salary: Salary will range between $50,000 and $55,000, commensurate with experience
Hours: Full-time
