QualificationsÂ
- NCCP Level 1 or higher (NCCP Fundamentals Coach or NCCP Age Group Coach preferred)
- Current NLS certification and CPR C
- Knowledge of Hy-Tek software (Team Manager)
- Knowledge of Team Unify Website preferred
- Provide a Vulnerable Sector background check
- Possess expert knowledge in all technical aspects of competitive swimming
- Demonstrate exceptional leadership and communication skills
- Have a team-oriented approach and consistently display a true passion for competitive swimming.
Position Requirements
The Belleville Beast Swim Team (BBST) is seeking an Associate Coach. The successful candidate must be enthusiastic and be willing to work with all types of athletes.
Coaching hours include four to five evenings per week, plus three mornings per week and daily administrative duties, which may be conducted in the team office or at home.
The Associate Coach will attend the majority of meets and training camps throughout the season.
Responsibilities include
planning and delivery of the Advanced training program, being involved with the Performance and Senior groups, help run the Masters and Jr. Masters programs
when coverage is needed, oversee the coaches of the Development and Novice programs, and assist with Jr. BBST program, if necessary.
The main priority is to work alongside the Head Coach to enhance swimmer development. Multiple opportunities to work with high performance athletes will arise
throughout the season.
- Submit meet entries in a timely fashion
- Design and implement pool and dry-land training
- Help establish criteria for movement between groups and set a developmental strategy
- Supervise assistant coaching staff, including conducting reviews and setting learning goals
- Attend regular coaches’ meetings and help prepare monthly reports
- Aid in the recruitment of new swimmers and administer assessments
