Jewell Engineering Inc. has been providing engineering services in the areas of municipal, civil and structural disciplines since 1998.Our firm maintains a Certificate of Authorization and Consulting Engineering Designation from Professional Engineers of Ontario to provide engineering services in Ontario. The firm is a member of the Association of Consulting Engineers of Ontario and the Canadian Association of Consulting Engineers.

Our services are delivered to both the private and public sectors. Presently our staff complement at the Belleville, Kingston and Oakville offices comprises over fifty (50) full-time employees.

RESPONSIBILTIES

 Responsibilities for this position are summarized below:

• Perform calculations and prepare specification and detail designs for various civil engineering projects including road construction, structures, etc. in accordance with applicable codes and industry
• Supervise the production of design drawings
• Establish and maintain cordial, close relationships with clients or their representatives
• Lead and manage multi-disciplinary projects with various clients private and public
• Oversee or participate in inspections and condition investigations of various structures
• Perform evaluations of structures, roadways, etc. based on their existing conditions
• Prepare technical reports and memos and participate in presentations as required
• Perform site inspections and contract administrator duties during construction phase of projects
• Review Contractor shop drawings when required
• Prepare and allocate budgets and prepare proposals for obtaining new work
• Work within the assigned project budget and schedule
• Will report to Senior Engineer and senior management
